Democritos researches have at disposal several different computational resources. Some of them are hosted locally at SISSA and ELETTRA, while others are hosted at CINECA.

  9 nodes (18 CPUs). Supermicro Linux Cluster (Beowulf kind): CPU 2x DualXeon 2.8 GHz + 7x DualXeon 3.06 GHz 32bit, 14 GB DRAM, 4 TB Disk space
  

• Briareo (now hosted at ELETTRA)
  30 nodes (60 CPUs) IBM Linux cluster 1300 (Beowulf kind): CPU 2x 24x PentiumIII 1.4 GHz (Tualatin), 48 GB RAM, 1.3 TB Disk Space, with Myrinet interconnection and GPFS parallel filesystem.
